Diamond rings have been associated with engagements and weddings for a long time. Way back in 1477 the Archduke Maximillian of Austria and Mary of Burgundy became engaged, and the Archduke chose a diamond ring to mark the occasion. It is thought that was the start of the tradition of using diamond rings to mark an engagement.
A purchase of an engagement ring is an extremely important purchase.
When you’re buying an engagement ring you are doing something that is almost unique for most people. You are buying something that you will both have for life. What else is there that you buy once – for your whole life?
A house? Not really. Or at least not for most people. The majority of people have a number of houses throughout their life.
A car? No. Never.
Is there anything else? Not really, it is almost unique in our lives when buying an engagement ring that it is intended to be the only one we ever buy.
Nothing is, or should be, more enduring in your life than the engagement ring you select.
So an engagement ring is a very significant and important purchase and diamonds mark such an important occasion perfectly.
Why diamonds? Why not some other beautiful jewelry stone?
Diamonds represent the ultimate. The best. There is no better jewelry stone than a diamond. And no more expensive. By buying a diamond you’re saying “this is important to me and I’m making sure I get it right by buying the best”.
And the ultimate diamond engagement ring has to be a diamond solitaire ring. Why a diamond solitaire when there’s so many different and beautiful diamond rings? So many other choices to tempt you?
There are some beautiful three stone rings. Just magnificent rings worthy to adorn any finger. But they aren’t diamond solitaires. Three stones just don’t cut it like one magnificent stone.
A stone that a woman has to wear on her hand for the rest of her life has to be the best the couple can afford. It has to be a stone that she is proud to wear. A stone that shows her off to the world. It has to be a stone that people admire.
And that’s where a diamond solitaire stands out. It encapsulates the magic of love. It says look at me, I’m married and I’m wearing a magnificent diamond to show it to the world.
It makes a statement.
So when your time comes to make that one and only purchase, that purchase for the most important person in your life and the only purchase you may ever make for life, make sure you get it right.
Buy her a diamond solitaire engagement ring and make sure it’s a good one.

Antique furniture – The Victorian period
July 21st, 2009 by julia97 · No Comments · Uncategorized
Ok, if i say you antique furniture you understand that i am NOT going to talk about the very early furniture used for humans thousands of years ago. I am going to talk about the antique furniture used in the civilization.
One of the best and finest styles to talk about inside the antique furniture field is the Victorian. The Victorian antique furniture style can be divided in three periods: Early Victorian, Mid Victorian and Late Victorian. The Early Victorian, is about the furniture made between 1830 and 1850, was a mix of very styles: Charles X, neoclassical and a variation of Regency. Also was going a revival of Gothic and Rococo styles by some manufacturers with their rising usage of machines.
The Mid Victorian was essentially the “founded” by the Great Exhibiton at Crystal Palce, which joined manufacturers and designers from all Europe in the year of 1851. This exhibition generated an explotion on new styles and mixes of them. Also started the Napolen 3 style, a semi-revival of medieval ideas by people as Burgess, talbert and one of the most important: Morris.
The Late Victorian was about reproductions of european historic types, but also we have the Arts and Crafts movement by people as Ashbee, Mackintosh or Voysey introducing something closer to art nouveau, always considered the early of this period.
Fixed Or Variable Rate For Small Business Loans?
July 21st, 2009 by julia97 · No Comments · Uncategorized
Small businesses are known for problems, including the prospects of getting a loan with flexible terms and low interest rates. One of the biggest questions faced by business owners is whether to choose between a fixed rate and a variable rate loan. Can you even choose? Many lenders require one type of loan for a small business, making this choice at their discretion. Both offer benefits, but both fixed and variable rate loans have their cons as well.
For starters, most people would say that fixed interest rate business loans seem to make the most sense. Variable rates come with pros as well, like market influence and how interest rates can plummet lower than fixed rate loans. However, variable rate interest loans can skyrocket as well, making this type of loan a gamble. Businesses generally want to limit their risks and avoid nasty surprises. Given this fact, we would make the suggestion of going for a fixed rate loan rather than a variable rate loan.
There are other reasons for going with one over the other. If your business loan interest rate never goes up and down, planning can be made simpler knowing how your monthly payments are going to turn up. On a mortgage or personal loan, this advantage is pretty important. It becomes even more important when what you can do two months from now depends on how much youll have to pay next month. Personal finances depend heavily on planning, which is vital for a business. Business loan interest rates that skyrocket and plummet and skyrocket again makes planning harder and inconsistent. For this reason, it is best to go with a fixed rate interest loan.
It can be quite confusing and frustrated seeing so many sources of information on business loans. Keep in mind that this topic has a lot written on it and there are many different points of view. It is best to collect all you can to be fully informed on the interest rate of business loans . We believe we are giving you the best information that can currently be found today on this subject as we
sort through a lot of out of date or irrelevant findings in order to stay in the loop.
Tips, advice and solutions are what we are always seeking. Because you are searching for interest rates we hope we can provide you with that. By scouring the internet, we’ve collected information to answer questions on this to assist you.

You’ll find Sunriver vacation rentals scattered throughout the several villages that make up the Sunriver community- there are currently over 2,900 completed homes and over 900 condominiums, with many of the dwellings available for Oregon vacation rentals.

There are lakes with crystal clear waters, rivers and streams visible from the highway. Sunriver vacation rentals are also within close proximity to both the Lava Butte and the Newberry National Monument natural volcanic wonders that were first noticed over 6,000 years ago. If you journey just outside Sunriver, you can even enjoy the result of the activity from the volcanoes that occurred thousands of years ago when you visit the “Lava Caves”. Of course, is complete without enjoying cross-country skiing or downhill skiing at Mt. Bachelor. Free Advertising, Search Sub Engines And Your Marketing Dollar
July 20th, 2009 by julia97 · No Comments · Uncategorized
Online advertising campaigns can be, and quite often are, expensive and innefective unless you have what can only be described as a mega advertising budget.
Unfortunately for most of us, we don’t possess such vast amounts of cash that we can comfortably throw at our advertising campaigns. So, it’s of paramount importance that we squeeze every single cents worth from every dollar we spend.
With economy in mind most of us turn towards the free advertising mediums regardless of their effectiveness and fool ourselves into beleiving that even though it’s free. If we spend enough time and energy using it and submitting to it that we will eventually be rewarded with the results we desire.
How true is this, and are there any other avenues open to the business owner or online promoter which will truly deliver on their promises.
I doubt there is anyone online that hasn’t tried submitting to FFA, free for all pages, free link submitters, email submitters, blog submitters, safelist submitters and lately isp submitters. All of which can be found for free with a little searching or determination and if not free can be purchased for pennies from Ebay.
But in our rush to try these useless pieces of junk we forget the most valueable possession we have, and that’s our time, and we waste it by the bucket full hoping to get results from this online twoddle.
It seems that everything has its day, and the days of the above mentioned programs and software have long since gone, obvious when you consider that programs and software that you would have paid as much as $197.00 is now available on Ebay for as little as $1.50.
Ffa pages and email promotions were the bes kness in online promoting ten years ago, but with the emergence of ever more efficient spam controls and punishments and the fact that nobody visits ffa pages any longer, they have both been relegated to the marketing archives.
Along with them go the worse than useless pieces of junk such as blog submitters, isp submitters and the laughable link submitter.
Blog submitters just simply do not work. The idea behined this software was that, at the push of a button a link to your website would be automatically distributed to millions of blogs, giving you millions of back links to your site and in the process pushing your site high up in the search engine rankings.
What the peddlars of these programs omit to tell you is that to get your site linked to a blog you must approach the owner of the blog and ask their permission. If you could randomely place a link on millions of blogs, don’t you think the owners of those blogs would be a little p’ssed off and would make a point of deleting your unwelcome link and contacting you with some suitably verbal abuse for not asking permission first.
The exact same applies to link submitters, they purely and simply do not work.
As for isp submitters, well they take second prize as being the most useless of all the submitters. They apparently submit your advert to the desk tops of million, no billions of computers throughout the world and when theuser of the computer closes down up pops your advert. What you only discover, after you have puerchsed it, is that if any of the isp’s you are targeting are protected by a firewall your advert will not reach its destination.
It seem pretty obvious to me, that if you are using the Internet and you don’t want all sorts of unwelcome crap on your computer, not to mention multiple viruses, you are going to use a firewall to protect yourself. Now it doesn’t take a genius to see that if you take these precautions that 99.99999% of the online world will be doing likewise. So into the recycle bin goes isp submitters.
Safelist submitters in my opinion get the top prize, the oscar for useless online twonk. Check out any of the thousands of programs available and the first thing they advise you to do is open anemail account where all your emails from other users can be sent so you can delete them without ever seeing them. Der, if you are being advised to do this, then where may I ask you are your emails going.
Yes, you’ve guessed correctly, directly into severy other subscribers junk mail account, to be deleted before ever being read.
Having said all of that, each of these programs or pieces of software may have had their uses in the past and now we have to look to the future of free online marketing.
The future of free online marketing rest solely in the hands of the Search Sub Engine. This is the latest and in my opinion, probably the only one which will still be around and effective for many years to come. Its effectiveness should stand the test of time simply because its concept is based on familiarity and demand.
Allow me to explain, the Search Sub Engine is a site rotation system, which allows every user to reach the #1 search position for their particular category, much the same way as you would reach the top of your category if you were seling an item on an auction site, so familiar.
As for demand, everyone, and I mean everyone wants, even craves traffic, the Search Sub Engine delivers that traffic, and it does that simply by guaranteeing that you will reach the top spot for your search category. This is a position we all strive to reach with the search engines, and we chase this coveted position because we know that upon reaching it, a whole world of traffic will come racing into our business, that’s exactly what the Search Sub Engine wil do for your business.
The big difference between the Search Sub Engine and the standard search engine is that you don’t need all the other associated programs or software to get there, you just submit your listing and the Search Sub Engine does the rest. And it does it for free.

The Most Intelligent Poodle
July 20th, 2009 by julia97 · No Comments · Uncategorized
The Poodle is commonly acknowledged to be the most wisely intelligent of all members of the canine race. There is a general belief that he is a fop, whose time is largely occupied in personal embellishment, and that he requires a great deal of individual attention in the matter of his toilet. It may be true that to keep him in exhibition order and perfect cleanliness his owner has need to devote more consideration to him than is necessary in the case of many breeds; but in other respects he gives very little trouble, and all who are attached to him are consistent in their opinion that there is no dog so intensely interesting and responsive as a companion. His qualities of mind and his acute powers of reasoning are indeed so great that there is something almost human in his attractiveness and his devotion. His aptitude in learning is never denied, and many are the stories told of his marvellous talent and versatility.
Not merely as a showman’s dog has he distinguished himself. He is something more than a mountebank of the booths, trained to walk the tight rope and stand on his head. He is an adept at performing tricks, but it is his alertness of brain that places him apart from other animals.
The profuse and long coat of this dog has the peculiarity that if not kept constantly brushed out it twists up into little cords which increase in length as the new hair grows and clings about it. The unshed old hair and the new growth entwined together thus become distinct rope-like cords. Eventually, if these cords are not cut short, or accidentally torn off, they drag along the ground, and so prevent the poor animal from moving with any degree of comfort or freedom.
Corded Poodles are very showy, and from the remarkable appearance of the coat, attract a great deal of public attention when exhibited at shows; but they have lost popularity among most fanciers, and have become few in number owing to the obvious fact that it is impossible to make pets of them or keep them in the house. The reason of this is that the coat must, from time to time, be oiled in order to keep the cords supple and prevent them from snapping, and, of course, as their coats cannot be brushed, the only way of keeping the dog clean is to wash him, which with a corded Poodle is a lengthy and laborious process. Further, the coat takes hours to dry, and unless the newly washed dog be kept in a warm room he is very liable to catch cold. The result is, that the coats of corded Poodles are almost invariably dirty, and somewhat smelly.
Poodle’s General appearance
Head: Long, straight, and fine, the skull not broad, with a slight peak at the back.
Muzzle: Long (but not snipy) and strong not full in cheek, teeth white, strong, and level, gums black, lips black and not showing lippiness.
Eyes: Almond shaped, very dark, full of fire and intelligence.
Nose: Black and sharp.
Ears: The leather long and wide, low set on, hanging close to the face.
Neck: Well proportioned and strong, to admit of the head being carried high and with dignity.
Feet: Rather small, and of good shape, the toes well arched, pads thick and hard.
Legs: Fore-legs set straight from shoulder, with plenty of bone and muscle.
Hind-legs: Very muscular and well bent, with the hocks well let down.
Tail: Set on rather high, well carried, never curled or carried over back.
Coat: Very profuse, and of good hard texture, if corded, hanging in tight, even cords; if non-corded, very thick and strong, of even length, the curls close and thick, without knots or cords.

Today’s Seniors Are Finding That The Time To Look Into Retirement Centers Is When You Don’t Need One
July 20th, 2009 by julia97 · No Comments · Uncategorized
Increasing longevity can be, and often is, a blessing. It offers extra time for retirees to enjoy the fruits of their labors. Travel and hobbies can be explored after the kids have all flown the coop and early retirement is opted for. Many individuals are in much better shape physically as they enter the “Senior” category–due to better health practices and fitness programs.
The early years of such a life style are often uncomplicated and full of adventure for those interested in creating it. The specter of the years ahead producing a “winding-down” effect may drop by fleetingly and haunt the twilight hours, but most of the time it is set aside, to be dealt with “when the time comes.”
Something that is not often noted is that when that time arrives others may have to do the deciding. More often than not, it just isn’t easy to face the need to down-size living quarters, seek help with the house and yard or face the fact that other arrangements need to be taken into consideration. The optimal time comes…and goes. Why would someone who is well and active want to think about such things? Who wants to look down the off-putting road that is the beginning of the end?
Practical people! People who want to be in charge of their lives for as long as possible and want to continue to make their own choices and decisions about their future. People who are fine-tuned to their adult children’s full schedules and limited free time and want to alleviate pressure. People who respect their kid’s opinions but who also want to create and preserve a mutual, reciprocal plan for problem solving.
The very best time to start to address future needs is when they are just that. There are an increasing number of retirement centers in all kinds of locations and in many different sizes and shapes. There is an amazing spread in what they offer and what they cost. Some have religious affiliations, and some have a professional connections. There are retirement centers that are non-profit and those that are for profit. For those who love to volunteer in their own community, the non-profits often have a lot more to offer to enhance the sense of “extended-family.” All of them have brochures, tours, and staff to answer questions. And no choice has to be permanent. If it doesn’t fit…we can look further. Some are even certified as “continuing care” or “full service” retirement centers with assisted care and nursing home facilities as part of the campus. Way, way down the line that might mean not having to leave a familiar community when you most need support.
When couples or individuals enter into their own search before there is any necessity to hurry the process, it can be a liberating experience. Many have found that so much is being offered that they want to move in and become part of the community while they are still relatively young and active. All retirement communities aren’t “fossil farms”! For instance, the Warm Beach Retirement Community in Stanwood, Washington, which is a non-profit, continued care facility, has many residents that move in as soon as they reach the minimum age of 62. It’s not uncommon for them to have people there for 20 or 30 years! Some even start out as “snow birds,” spending their winters elsewhere.
Many retirees are finding that facing up to the problem reduces it to non-problem status. In most cases their offspring are delighted to honor their parents choice to lead active lives with peers. As a result, the days of “what are we going to do about Mom and Dad,” may be, happily, drawing to a close.

What Should We Do About Spam?
July 20th, 2009 by julia97 · No Comments · Uncategorized
I receive over 50 emails per day. Usually, close to 45 of them are spam. For the uninitiated, unsolicited marketing emails are considered spam. The amount of junk email being sent has spiraled out of control. Some people receive over 100 unsolicited messages per day! For the purposes of this article, we are going to examine the different methods employed by marketers to steal your email address, and whether or not anything can be done to put an end to spam once and for all.
Most of the marketing messages I receive in my inbox are sexually explicit, but I still like to look at them because some of this junk is actually quite entertaining. My personal favorites are offers to purchase discounted Canadian Viagra, ads for pornographic websites, bogus work-from-home programs, or quotes for 50 year mortgages.
How do these idiots get your email address in the first place? One way they can get it is through opt-in email. When you order something online, as part of the subscription or service that you signed up for, you may have inadvertently or unknowingly agreed to receive offers via email from that company in the future. As a result, said company begins to send you offers via email. This is perfectly legal as long as the company provides you with a way to unsubscribe from their mailing list. If they do not provide you with a means to unsubscribe, then the emails they are sending you are considered spam.
To make matters worse, spammers will often sell your email address and any other information you submitted to them to hundreds of other companies who are looking for leads or mailing lists. Before you know it, your email address has been circulated far and wide to almost every online business imaginable. Once this happens, there is almost no way to protect your email address ever again.
Another common way senders of spam get their hands on your email address is by first purchasing a list of email addresses from someone else, and then sending a joke or an interesting cartoon to everyone on the list and ask that you forward it along to all your friends and relatives. Once you forward the message, the spammer actually has a program that can copy the list of addresses that the message has been forwarded to and send it back to him or her. So now, that person not only has your email address, but also has the email address of every one you forwarded the message to. Using this tactic, email marketers can grow their list of email addresses exponentially.
Another popular technique is known as harvesting. This is accomplished by writing a simple programming function that searches through every web site listed on a search engine for a certain keyword, and then quickly scanning each of those sites for any email addresses that are posted there, and subsequently sending them back to the spammer. An example of harvesting would be a program written to scan every website listed on Google for a certain keyword, such as real estate agents, and then recording every email address that is found on the web sites that come up in the search, and emailing the entire list of email addresses back to the harvester. Using this technology, it is possible to acquire thousands of email addresses in an hour or less.
Harvesting has become a legal dilemma, because the email marketing community feels that it should be allowed to harvest email addresses that are posted on public websites because, in their opinion, if someone has posted their email address for all to see, then other people have the right to contact that person and ask them questions or send them offers. However, web sites where email addresses are posted have threatened legal action against anyone that copies addresses and uses them to build mailing lists or send spam. Unfortunately, these web sites really have no way to prevent this email theft, and it will only get worse in the future.
Spam is here to stay, because it is nearly impossible to prevent. Both big businesses and small businesses have a strong incentive to send bulk email, because it costs nothing, and is a valuable tool for increasing their customer base. Sending regular mail or hiring telemarketers costs a lot of money and is ineffective. As a result, most companies would prefer to send massive amounts of email versus paying a telemarketer or spending money on postage to send offers through the mail. So, we should all expect to continue to receive enormous amounts of spam in our inbox for years to come.
